What IS Mothership?
BUT THIS IS A HORROR GAME…RIGHT?
If you’re worried about the “Horror” tag,
It is my utmost priority to ensure that all players feel safe and enjoy themselves at my table.
Even when everyone is fully on board for a cosmic space horror experience, part of my standard intake process includes a Sensitivities and Triggers form so that I am aware of everyone’s go/no go subjects prior to session start.
While Mothership’s unique gameplay systems excel at driving suspense and horror—that is by no means the extent of what stories can be told.
From plucky combat marines in a "Starship Troopers” or “Alien” type tale, to a rag-tag group of space smugglers a. la. “Firefly” or “Cowboy Bebop”, to deep space explorers, or an inspirational first contact scenario, the stars, and their stories are truly the limit.
